Your privacy is important to us, and we’ve written this policy in plain, everyday language. If you have any concerns, please contact us to discuss.
Who are we
Coachly is an app developed by Journey Together International Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14566144, with our registered office at Faversham House, Wirral International Business Park, Old Hall Road, Wirral CH62 3NX, UK (“we” or “us”). We are the controller responsible for your personal data.
We comply with Data Protection Requirements, including the UK GDPR, GDPR EU 2016/679, and all applicable laws relating to privacy, data security, and the protection of personal data.
You can make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection issues ( www.ico.org.uk). We would ask that you raise any concerns with us first by emailing privacy@getcoachly.app.
What data does Coachly collect?
Coachly is designed with privacy at its core. The app does not collect, transmit, or store your data on any external server. All data you enter — including client details, session records, training hours, and coaching notes — is stored privately on your device only.
The only personal data the app handles is data you choose to enter yourself, including:
- Your name, coaching credential level, and profile details
- Client names and session information
- Training and CPD records
- Coaching hours and credential progress
None of this data is shared with Journey Together International Ltd, with third parties, or with any external service.
What data does Coachly collect?
Calendar Access
Coachly can connect to your device’s calendar to surface coaching sessions automatically. This access is used solely to help you identify and log sessions within the app. Calendar data is read locally on your device and is never transmitted externally. You can revoke calendar access at any time in your device Settings.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data will be stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple’s CloudKit service. This data is held by Apple under their own privacy policy and terms, and is accessible only to you via your Apple ID. Journey Together International Ltd has no access to data stored in your iCloud account. Enabling iCloud sync is entirely optional — the app functions fully without it.
No Accounts, No Tracking
Coachly does not require you to create an account. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or any third-party SDKs that collect data about your usage of the app.
Transaction Data
Includes details about payments to and from you and other details of products and services you have purchased from us.
Data Retention
Your data is retained on your device for as long as you use the app. You can delete all data at any time directly within the app via Settings → Delete All Data. Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data from your device. If you have enabled iCloud sync, you may also need to manually remove the associated data from your iCloud account via your device’s iCloud settings.
In-App Purchases
Coachly may offer optional paid features or subscriptions in the future. Any such purchases will be processed entirely by Apple via the App Store. Journey Together International Ltd does not collect, store, or process any payment card or financial information. All purchase transactions are subject to Apple’s own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. You can manage and cancel any subscriptions at any time via your Apple ID settings.
Your Legal Rights
Under UK GDPR and applicable Data Protection Requirements, you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction of your personal data
- Request erasure of your personal data
- Object to or request restriction of processing
- Request transfer of your personal data
- Withdraw consent at any time
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete your data at any time directly within the app via Settings → Delete All Data. To exercise any other rights or if you have questions, please email us at privacy@getcoachly.app.
California Residents (CCPA)
We do not sell your personal data, nor do we ever plan to. California residents may exercise their rights to know, delete, and non-discrimination as described above by contacting us at privacy@getcoachly.app.
Third-Party Links
Coachly may contain links to external websites or resources. These have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app or by email where required.
